Product Care Guide
Your Raie sunglasses are thoughtfully crafted to be strong, stylish, and ready for everyday wear. With just a little care, they’ll stay radiant, clear, and performing beautifully for years to come.
Be gentle, friction is the real culprit
Most lens wear doesn’t come from the sun, it comes from rubbing. Wiping lenses when they’re dusty or gritty can cause tiny scratches, as fine particles act like sandpaper on the coating. Storing your sunglasses outside of the protective case (e.g. loose in a bag or car) may impact the sunglasses finish. We recommend rinsing your glasses before you wipe them, and storing them in the protective case that is provided with your purchase.
Keep them free from everyday build-up
Salt water, sweat, sunscreen, makeup, dirt, sprays, oils, or even rain water can slowly wear down lens coatings if left to dry. If your sunglasses come into contact with any of these, rinse them as soon as you can. Once residue settles, it can stain or corrode the surface over time. A quick rinse now saves wear later.
How to clean (simple is best)
Skip harsh sprays or cleaners. Instead, rinse with lukewarm water, gently dry using a microfiber cloth (like the Raie cloth provided with your purchase) and make sure lenses are fully dry to avoid water marks. Avoid tissues, paper towels, cotton tees, or anything rough, these can scratch or dull the lens coating.
How to store (protect their glow)
When not worn, keep your Raie sunglasses in the pouch provided. Avoid tossing them directly into handbags, suitcases, beach bags or the car where keys and other items can rub against them. Try not to store them in direct heat, as this can affect both frames and lenses.
A gentle reminder
Scratches or coating wear happen naturally through use and exposure, they’re not manufacturing defects and aren’t covered under replacement. Caring for your sunglasses properly helps keep them looking clean, new and ready for wherever the day takes you.
